Your Partner in Learning Success
Some journeys are too important to navigate alone. Reid Auger and Patricia Brandenburger have been guiding students at Experienced Educators since 2015, and in that time they've seen one thing proven again and again: real teachers make all the difference. With 30+ years of combined classroom experience, they offer SAT and ACT prep in small group classes, one-on-one tutoring, and college essay support — because getting into the right school takes more than just a good test score. Reid and Patricia don't just prepare students for what's next. They help them discover what they're capable of.
Reid spent over 20 years teaching Language Arts in Colorado and in that time, he became the kind of teacher students don't forget. He holds a Bachelor's in English from the University of Colorado and a Master's in Curriculum Development, also from CU, but his real philosophy has always been simpler than any degree: get to know your students, earn their trust, and the rest follows. Now retired from full-time teaching, Reid still turns up in classrooms as a substitute when the mood strikes. When it doesn't, you'll find him with a pair of waders and a fly rod. At Experienced Educators, Reid brings humor, warmth, and decades of classroom instinct to every session. He also brings something few tutors can claim: he has watched all three of his own kids go through the SAT process, take the course, and improve their scores. Reid knows firsthand what families are navigating — the prep, the pressure, and the very real difference a strong score can make when scholarship money is on the table.

Patricia earned a Bachelor's in Secondary Science Education from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa with a focus on physics, with electives in engineering that required a strong mathematical foundation — then went on to complete a Master's in Science Education from Montana State. That depth of training gave her more than credentials; it gave her a genuine respect for mathematics. She spent a decade in the classroom — including years teaching alongside Reid on the same middle school team. As Experienced Educators grew and evolved, Patricia stepped into the math role naturally, helping students build real understanding through subject tutoring and putting that same foundation to work in test prep, where math is a large part of a student's score. When she isn't working with students, Patricia can be found chasing her two young boys, planning the next road trip, or dreaming up her next creative project. She is the kind of person who makes adventures out of ordinary days — and she brings that same energy to helping students find their way through the test.
